Fulani Braids Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about styles, add-ins, booking preparations, and maintenance for Fulani Braids services.
Arrive with clean, conditioned hair that is fully dry and blow-dried. Avoid heavy oils or products, detangle thoroughly, and allow extra time for add-ins. Bringing reference photos helps us plan the right pattern and time allocation for services like 22 and 23.
Yes — the curly human hair add-in option adds volume and texture. We use high-quality human hair to blend with your natural hair. Expect a slightly longer appointment and a separate charge for the hair and installation service.
With proper care, Fulani braids typically last four to eight weeks. Longevity depends on your hair growth, maintenance routine, and how well you protect edges and moisture. Curly add-ins require gentle handling to maintain texture and prevent tangling.
Borabora braids are a variation within the Fulani family featuring distinct patterning and often different braid thickness. Both use the signature Fulani parting but we tailor placement, size, and add-ins to achieve the desired Borabora or classic look.
Wash, condition, and deeply detangle your hair 24 hours before your appointment. Blow-dry completely so braiding starts on dry hair. Avoid heavy oils or treatments and bring photos or notes about the style and any add-in preferences.
A consultation is recommended for custom patterns or curly add-ins but not always required. Consultations help determine time, price, and hair needs; for complex Borabora requests, book a consult so we can prepare materials and timing.
